The Tai-Jaih Davis Caretaker Award
Presented by The Sister Girl Foundation and American Cancer Society
Inspiration to Us All
Each year, this award recognizes someone who served in the role of caregiver for a loved one battling cancer. Tai-Jaih lost her battle with breast cancer in 2016, but throughout her journey was surrounded by loving family and friends who went above and beyond to comfort and care for her. The Sister Girl Foundation wanted her legacy to continue to impact others just as it did when she was at the past walks with her infectious smile and larger than life presence.
So, we teamed up with the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Fairfield County to honor caregivers, who are some of the most selfless, patient, loving, and giving unconditionally individuals. Tai-Jaih’s family demonstrated these qualities and more. We watched them rearrange their lives to make hers better. Along with our survivors, caregivers are the cornerstone of the American Cancer Society, and we are honored to highlight a caregiver each year alongside the Sister Girl Foundation Inc., Which Tai-Jaih was a dedicated member of.
